About The Founder - Luke Bicknell

I help organizations untangle complex financial systems so their teams can breathe easier, move faster, and trust their numbers again.

I’ve spent my career working deep inside Oracle Cloud ERP, especially Projects, Grants, Financials, Supply Chain, Reporting, Cash Management, Intercompany, and integrations. Over the years, I’ve seen a pattern repeat itself: smart people stuck in systems that technically work, but quietly drain time, energy, and confidence. My work is about breaking that cycle.

Before starting Breakthrough System Solutions, I worked at large consulting firms where I learned a lot and also saw the cost of bloated solutions, over-engineering, and advice that looks impressive but doesn’t actually help the people living with it day to day. I decided to build something different: lean, thoughtful consulting that prioritizes clarity, sustainability, and real-world use.

I’m hands-on by design. I don’t just recommend architectures, I design them, test them, and live in the details with my clients. That means understanding how journals post, how subledgers behave, how bank files really reconcile, and where automation genuinely helps versus where it just adds noise. I care deeply about getting the design right so teams aren’t constantly compensating for bad decisions years later.

Just as important, I listen. Many of the best solutions I’ve delivered came not from a template, but from slowing down, understanding what’s actually broken, and focusing on the few changes that create disproportionate relief and momentum.

Outside of work, I’m a husband and dad of three, based in the Pacific Northwest. That perspective shapes how I approach consulting. I value systems that support people instead of demanding constant heroics. I believe good design should reduce stress, not shift it around.

If you’re looking for someone who will treat your financial systems with care, curiosity, and respect for the humans behind them, I’d love to help.
